In defence of this album tho I didn’t really connect with it for a long time aside from some of obvious tracks but then I watched the Bad Batch and something clicked and all the sudden I felt like I understood the tone and context for it a lot better. From then on it’s become a classic for me and one of my fav Jaar works. It’s special, but it makes you work for the gratification.

@Potsy

That's pre interesting tbh, wouldn't have expected because a lot of it to me (without having spent much time with it) sounds kind of basic and straightforward, relative to a bunch of other Jaar stuff I like, although some of the textures are pretty nice (no shock there)

Is Bad Batch worth the watch? Dug Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, and then heard so much griping about the Bad Batch that I never got around to it

It does come off that way going into it expecting Jaar weirdness. But its like the perfect soundtrack for a peyote trip in the desert and when it’s reframed that way the nuances and such kind of reveal themselves.

And yes I think Bad Batch is awesome and it has one of my fav soundtracks for any movie ever, I think if you take it too seriously you’re going to have a bad time but I also think if you take it too seriously you’re probably an idiot. Kind of how I feel about this album 😂

I didn’t think anything of the track Metatron before watching Bad Batch and now it’s my fav song. Such a mood.
