Royal Albert Hall's good too, with the whole of BWP and one song of every studio album up to Watershed. Personally prefer Roundhouse though.

" I've never heard The Roundhouse Tapes"
Demon bro, go for it, in best quality! It's a fantastic live album, among the best I've ever heard. Mikael and the whole band are on top of their game, the growling is incredible and far better than at the Royal Albert Hall.

@Trifo: yeah I very much enjoy the Portishead one. That Opeth setlist is superb.
@Davil: good to know, thanks.
I think you guys have done enough to persuade me.

"Shamefully (perhaps) I've never heard The Roundhouse Tapes as I don't usually bother with live albums"
bro your username is Demon of the Fall (which they play on the damn thing!) and you haven't jammed roundhouse? holy shit

I'm still mad that Axe didn't do that cool little drum fill in the beginning of Under the Weeping Moon. The one that happens at :48 on the studio version. Haven't forgiven him since. I am a petty man.

Forest of October / Advent / April Ethereal / The Moor / Wreath / Hope Leaves / Reverie/Harlequin Forest / The Lotus Eater
Isn't a bad setlist either.

Well basically Roundhouse has Under The Weeping Moon.
Was reading reviews of this when suddenly on Pitchfork:
"Like 99% of music, close scrutiny reveals the seams, and like too much metal, a close look reveals just how silly the stuff ultimately is. No, better to just give in to the thrill of the playing: the tightrope precision, the velocity, the sheer intensity."

Without the 0:48 drum fill..mind you.
And I'd like to know what that reviewer considers to be of the "non-silly" type

Exactly, that's why I'm ashamed. I just hardly ever bother with live albums due to not really getting on with them, now admittedly this is an archaic & probably completely redundant viewpoint I had from around a decade ago & should likely be disregarded, this realisation has lead me to believe that you'd be correct in thinking I was an utter moron.

Hey Demon, just out of curiosity, what causes you to 4.5 rather than 5 this?
