I think it was '06, now that I've said it.

They toured with Battlefields (sick) - both bands set up and played one song at a time in '05 and it was a little jarring. I hadn't heard them at that time but distinctly remember Departe and Europa, later decided that they also played Clavius because I am positive I didn't get Itinerant or Au Pays Natal. It was fucking loud and I thought the drummer was the most absurd I'd ever seen.

In '10 we opened for them and they played mostly determinism stuff but closed with Wake. They were all super sick and were going through some tough times with Translation Loss we would later learn, they talked about it on the DVD. They stayed at my drummer's house that night, and I was probably super awkward.

And yeah, I've never seen a live vid of them playing any of those songs, to my dismay. Wish they wouldn't have sworn it off.

TGS was sworn off the second Wake/Lift released, I remember Matt saying on twitter that if they were to ever play one again it would be Au Pays Natal. Thats it. Seems like they pretty much swore off metal and riffing in general.

They are pretty good live act I concur, Armine is especially a giant on stage. Their setlist was a mix of The Anaesthete and Determinism (I think they played Monument also but not sure).

One of the few albums that’s been a consistent favorite for me for 15 years, one of the easiest 5s ever
