2008, I was 18...
Hollywood Undead came onto the scene despite no one asking
BMTH released Suicide Season
Motherfucking Asking Alexandria, We Came as Romans, TDWP and sometime later Of Mice & Men ensnared smelly English kids with their overproduced one-note breakdowns and autotuned butt vox
London Astoria closed its doors
Fucking hell I feel sorry for the people whose taste was shaped by those times, poor fucks

" I was heavy into that scene though. The guy who said up until 2012 was scene kids was wrong, 2011-2014 was scene, before that was primarily emo. I was big into both, and around 2012-2013 was when scene peaked, albums like From Death To Destiny, Sempiternal, Collide With The Sky. they were all awesome

Nah I was in college 2005-2007 and that’s when scene kids started. Without looking Count Your Blessings must’ve come out in that period and that’s when scene kids really started springing up everywhere.
We called them colourful emo kids at first

My bands live show got 4ks out of 5 in kerrang magazine and that is my claim to fame
That magazine also had a front cover of Aiden and came with a poster of Ian Watkins inside though so maybe their taste wasn’t that great 🤣
