going from golden hour to this was like listening to carly rae jepsen and going from emotion to kiss - a great album in its own right but just doesn't stack up to the future release. i do love the honest lyricism and songwriting on this one though.

this is the least of the three not-self-released kacey albums (damn where are those other four on the internet), but it's good, and I absolutely love "late to the party". golden hour is clearly a cut above tho, even tho I sort of dont return to it tbhhhh

picked up a withdrawn copy of this from my local library and it's been my car 4 about 2 months? anyway i'm listening to it quite a lot - it's probably default listening - and i like it more and more every time, which is the opposite of every other Musgraves album. that opening "it's highhhh-ighhh-ihghhh" triggers pavlovian drooling
