Yeah, guys. I can see now that The Wall isn't for sure one of the most beloved albums here on Sputnik. Anyway, this isn't a surprise to me. Even in the prog circles it isn't the most beloved album. However, and despite I always loved the album, many years ago I also had some reserves about it, because it sounded to me too much popish than a Floyd album should sound. Still, this is an album that grown up on me with the time.
By the way, I also prefer The Wall to Meddle. It seems that I have also the same less good taste than the Noel's wife has.
And thanks guys for your comments.

Yeah, LPFTW. That is a common argument against this album. However, people seems to forget that Animals is also, in a certain way, a personal bet of Roger. With the exception of Dogs, which was co-written with David Gilmour, all the five tracks on the album were written by Roger Waters. So, Animals was the band’s first album not to include a writing credit by Richard Wright. Those were probably, the early signs of discord inside the group, which several years later would culminate with Wright leaving the band, due to problems with Waters.

Thanks once more, Jethro. Yeah, dude give it another listen.
In The Flesh is a bomb such are some other tracks like Another Brick In The Wall, Hey You and Comfortably Numb", only to mention a few of them. However, as I said before, for me, the album worth as a whole.

It's a very direct and personal question to put to a man on a site, dude. However, I have no problem to answer it. I was born in 1958, thus, I'm 57 years old.
As you can see and as I usually say, I've many Km of music, especially of prog music, on my legs and feet. Which is very natural. I began my musical education in 1974, with 16, at school. In those times, we shared our discs, vinyl discs of course. As you know, in those times we didn't have CDs, MP3 or internet to listen to the music. Of course we had also the tape recorders, in general with a very low quality level. So, my musical education began precisely in the golden era of prog. As you can imagine, almost all the great prog classics have passed through my hands and ears. So, in a certain way I'm a son of the prog. However, I like of other kind of music and bands as you can see in my personal page here on Sputnik. And of course I also love the classical music. Especially the Baroque period and Bach is my favorite composer.
So, as you can see, I've no problems to talk about myself. I'm an open book. Ah, Ah, Ah...
Cheers, dude.

i'm 17, and I had probably never gotten to the music I listen to today without my dad. He's born in 1960 and got to prog like you did, except he didn't get a musical degree ofc. And I'm aware of vinyl lps, I bought one this year, and several off the internet ;)
