i wonder what convinced the band to go full sparkly birds and butterfly flamboyant after Viva La Vida, its such a strange turn in dynamics. even more strange when they tried to shift back to something resembling the attitude of their old selves with Ghost Stories only to take another 180 back into the pop stuff. it's quite peculiar to say the least.

Parachutes is their best record and there's not the minimum hope for them to do something half good as that album and that's a sad reality.

Nah, Rush of Blood is 1 and Viva is 2 imo. I can respect Parachutes being the best though. It's great.

And I can respect any order between those three records. All of them are great.

I don't listen to Coldplay, but that's only because I don't have trouble sleeping.

I feel like they'll either break up or come back with something insanely epic. That's what happened with Viva La Vida after the disappointing X&Y.
