maybe that's why i've never understood the disproportionate level of hate for it
i got that album on release day, after getting into the first two - before there was a viva la vida or whatever to compare it to
so yeah, just seemed like a pretty good coldplay album at the time, w its share of highlights & whatnot

This was a super entertaining write-up and I like the format, but I think some of the expression is a bit awkward and that language more fitting to the style could've been adopted. But still awesome, thanks for the review! I don't hate this album yet, I just very strongly dislike it.

I loved the review, I think Irving plans to cover it but if not this would more than suffice as the default/featured.
My favorites are Hymn for the Weekend and Up & Up, I can listen to them and pretend they're Mylo b-sides. My rating for this is almost certainly going to drop.
