30th anniversary of Heaven or Las Vegas has inspired me to revisit all their albums and spend some decent time with each. My rating seems quite high to most but not sure why, I love this album. It may be a one trick pony but it’s my kind of pony. Garlands to Heaven or Las Vegas is like Movement to Technique or Faith to Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. Such dark gritty guitar work throughout. It totally drags me in.

Yeah it's so much darker than their later stuff. Still fantastic agreed.

This is good, i especially like the bass tone here. It didn't quite my attention all the way through though, but maybe it will grow more

Grail Overfloweth is so cool! Love what Liz does there and how it combines with the instruments.

This is great, no idea why I ignored it for so long. Maybe better than Head Over Heels methinks hmm

I think this, was one of the last records I bought before lockdown. It's okay, I hope it grows on me over time

I hope so. It’s dark, intense and drags you in. Unlike any of their other albums in a way; chaotic, scrawling, screeching guitar over mesmerising drum beats and such a prominent bass through out. No lush layered typical Guthrie guitar here, this is harsh and angular.
