the chick they got does a fine job to me, even though she only appears once.

apparently there's another homage apart from the stevie wonder to Big Poppa, gotta love a band that throws easter eggs into their songs lol
edit: it's pretty fucking obvious too i dunno why it didn't click until now

this is not so bad. strongly reminiscent of ASIWYFA at times though, which can be distracting and irritating.

"The lack of Kathleen Delano on any of these tracks seriously rustles my jimmies, but this is easily in my top three of the year" - You've pretty much said exactly what I was about to say. This album is superb, but Delano's vocals were what took French Ghetto from a "top three" album to my #1 album of 2013. Without her, it just feels like something's amiss here.
Having said that though, this album is still fucking fantastic.

Loved French Ghetto so I'll def check this out, not surprised at the love for it so far
Good review too, definitely reads more like a 4.5 than a 4 though, no real negatives were discussed besides the guys not being virtuosos?

there's a reason I have it at a 4.5 but the review at a 4 trust me I just don't want to type it lol. I think you'll like this if you dug french ghetto though

I guess that's what I meant when I said I'm not sure I dig the vox here as much as on French Ghetto.

this sounds sick, going to check asap

This sounds incredible so far...I was a little disappointed when I found out this is an instrumental band, because very few have ever held my attention long-term...but I'm more than thrilled to give this a go.

is this streaming anywhere?

Penultimate sentence in the second paragraph is a bit clunky. I get the idea but had to read it a couple times. Maybe something like:
"There's hardly a point in the album when the composition is lacking. If there is a specific note or rhythm that the band could use to elevate a passage of music, it's never absent."
That's not the best example but I think you get the idea.
Nice review otherwise.

Thanks spaceship I felt it was clunky when i wrote it. and you're lucky elephant, the first stop of their tour was seattle, and I could've dropped by the venue as part of my job but my partner didn't want to ughhhh

Excited to jam this when I get home. Can't stream Bandcamp on my damn work laptop.

Pos'd, by the way, largely for the image of groove being slathered. I like it.
