We must like Isis for different reasons then, Hall of the Dead and Hand of the Host are easily in the Top 3 from that album. I think it's a way more mature and controlled sound for them. Celestial is good, but it sounds like they were still developing and figuring themselves out which will almost always lose out to later albums where they worked on those issues.

there were no issues here they knew what they were doing. sure the production is immature (reissue

made that completely irrelevant), then they just expanded on ideas like on CFT and it was never the

same since.

Woah, something went wrong with that post big time...

Basically, WR wins track-by-track but they both rule, so whatever

3 or 4. In The Absence Of Truth or Wavering Radient, they're pretty much equal

worst rating

Panopticon=Oceanic and then the rest is subjective I guess.

I like Celestial better than WR but this comes from someone that believes Mosquito Control/Red Sea hold some of their best ideas. Everything before Absence is their best creative input.

If you include SGNL>05 as part of Celestial, then I might edge it over WR. I mean, all the songs you mentioned and then you throw Divine Mother into the mix... Damn, that's easily a top 5 Isis song.
