This went a little down for me. I've been enjoying Vulgar and Kisou a tad more recently.

Admittedly, I'd like Vulgar a little more than this if not for three tracks on the record which should've been omitted: R to the Core, The IIID Empire, and New Age Culture. While the former two songs aren't inherently bad, they work better as standalone tunes than album ditties, and there's nothing appealing about the latter. It just exists. Why it's sandwiched between two relatively better numbers - one of which is a personal favorite - is beyond me. W/e :P
I feel Diru's fourth album could've been better than it initially was had they released it later on in the band's career. Then again, you can say the same thing for their pre-Withering to death. material (excluding Gauze) in general, but I kinda digress. I've been beating a dead horse until it's a pile of bones for awhile now regarding Vulgar's quality, though let me be frank: it ain't a bad release at all. A couple tracks kick ass, there are some decent ones, and then there's shit. I'm done bitching for now :]

Ugh, I just love all their records. May they all be on the number one spot, please? ;-;

Speaking of "love", Hotarubi is just precious.

It is. It really made my mind glide through dream-like imagery earlier today.

Maybe one year later your comments will look slightly different. Wouldn't be a novelty for the Diru threads ;).

That wouldn't be a surprise there.

It's hard to listen to some of the vocal of the album without wanting to kill myself. But some other tracks are outstanding, so that's Macabre for me.

Haha, the album can be messy at times.

KR Cube is the only track from here I tend to come back to, specifically the Arch Budokan performance. I also like Deity and Wake quite a lot.

Grower for sure. Used to be their second worst for me but despite it being messy and a little badly structured the sounds on it stand out pretty well.
