This isn't bad by any means, but the vocals and production are really irritating.

There's like one decent riff on here I can remember. The rest is a bunch of unmemorable grind-ish wank. I just want some quality tech death riffs with blast beats

That bass fuelled breakdown in Detritus is fucking brutal.

Yeah this is really good. Kinda wanna bump my rating, but I think a 3.5 is appropriate since it's only 4 songs. Like I said a couple pages back, if they can release a full album of material like this then I'll be very happy.

This was kinda enjoyable. The third track is a solid 4/5.

Sometimes the best way to recover from a bad spell is to just go to basics, stick to what you know and do it well, and that seems to be exactly what Cryptopsy have done. Not exactly rewriting the laws of death metal or making any brave calls, but that's what they need until they've worked out what they're about and where they're going, THEN they can start experimenting with different ideas, hopefully with more success than The Unspoken King which screamed of jumping on the deathcore fad of the late 00s.

I still think Whisper Supremacy is the best thing Cryptopsy has done.
This was ok, just more of the same, "Hey, we don't play deathcore anymore but we're still just pumping them out by the numbers".
Excellent read too buddy!
