Never jammed a full album by Snow Patrol yet but like what I've heard on the radio, I caught the end of their setlist opening for U2 six years ago. Despite their music being pretty mellow, they sounded really heavy and energetic live.

Make this go on and Open your eyes are briliant. Chasing cars is very good as well but but it is little overrated in my opinion. Great album anyway. Not groundbreaking stuff on it but still impressive.

Open Your Eyes is such an emotionally effective pop song, like Breathe Me by Sia. People can turn their nose up at this record if they want, but at the end of the day, there's a reason that song for example is played during emotional series finales of huge TV shows like Grey's Anatomy and The Office, like how Breathe Me played at the end of Six Feet Under.

yeah one thing you gotta give them credit for is there's always a strong sense of emotion felt on this record and not one that feels particularly artificial a lot of the time either

Only ever heard their most recent album (which apparently was 5 years ago...I guess they're defunct now in that case) and it was pretty bland. "Chasing Cars" is a pretty nostalgic song though, I remember hearing that song on the radio all the time when I was a kid.

havent heard the new one but it seems to be regarded as their worst. feel like you might like this boney its worth giving a shot giben you already like chasing cars. from what ive heard this is easily their best

final straw is pretty inconsistent tbh. its got some definite highlights but not a lot sticks out on that album for me while this album has very little filler
