I don't get why anyone gives a shit about Fantano. I couldn't care less about him disliking this record in particular, but just his smarmy demeanor and condescending attitude combined with his cringe-worthy sense of humor makes me immediately want to turn off his reviews every time I see the corona of light edging around his stark bald head.

I don't get why people take so much stock in it? Music publications have different writers for different genres so that the 'i just don't like that kind of music' bias doesn't enter in, but fantano reviews all kinds of stuff, so his personal music taste will come into it. i'm pretty disappointed in this tbh. granted, i had insanely high expectations because Albatross was my 2013 AOTY, but this just sounds lazy to me. i understand what they were going for with the slower tempos and atmospherics, but most tracks just have no energy. the lyrics are fantastic though.
