I remember one of my sound-offs was deleted because the mods thought it was something negative about you, I was mocking someone else's spelling mistakes lol

I know a lot of people have been following you around to tell you you suck and you're always wrong it's kinda dumb lmao

kinda off-topic but perhaps you could read a few documents about brand management and strategic communication, it could be fun to apply those concepts to your brand here on sputnikmusic lol

Not even close to a bad review, the negs are unnecessary.

Album slays, though. One of the most crushing and powerful albums of the year, easily top 5 of the year for me.

"In this goal it triumphs almost astonishingly."

- i'm against using "almost" or "kinda" next to really strong descriptors like this. like, "this album is nearly breathtaking" - - so, it's not... but almost? either use a less hyperbolic descriptor, or lose the "almost".

- unless you literally mean the album is on the cusp of being astonishing but something acts as a spoiler and thus renders is not astonishing, dagnabbit.

"significant trump card"

- aren't trump cards kinda significant anyway?

" is entwined rather"

- i think in the context of this sentence it should be are*, but double check anyway.

idk. review is fine and i'm just picking at things. not sure what's with that ratio but w/e

This review is RYM style where there's several paragraphs of padded language that ultimately do not really accurately reflect the rating given and unfortunately where the author is full of tropes his/herself. The first posting yesterday was in fact a poor, sloppy review that screamed "me first, it's done" and spent far too much time working to make comparisons with other bands rather than delving into the material truly (a lot of this shit here sounds baroque) of which I'm seeing a lot of on this site. May come back to review after/if views from the 6 drops this week.

so you complain about comparisons and then make a meaningless comparison to rym? k

i'm not really sure how my review doesn't express the rating, and i wasn't interested in being first. i just wanted to make sure this album didn't get brushed to the side, i wanted people to give it a listen. the first posting only needed very minor fixes.

i'll be happy to read your review.

im actualy now thinking that track 2 is completely necessary and there should have been more tracks like it on the album. the reason it doesnt feel like a journey is cause its all a constant pace throughout almost. track 2 is one of the only breaks and dynamic changes. i think the key to making music feel like a journey is long periods that contrast the rest of the album, that may not sound impressive in isolation, but serve to get you lost in the meandering and make it feel like a journey. track 5 is good how a lot of it is just noise, i like that.

yeah, maybe i took the wrong approach there. more listens will unveil the truth!

still, got plenty of people to listen to this record so i'd call my review a success [:
