Never seen it in full. I've seen the BBC series they did a few times though, although not in order - my brother just watched it so many times I reckon I got the basis of it from just walking past enough. Seemed pretty good.

You're talking about the television show, right? It took quite a large number of liberties with the original story that the movie didn't, though the movie did have it's share of changes too

The movie moved to fast and was nowhere near as engaging or deep on all levels the book is.

And it shouldn't be, but that's also because it should never have been a movie.

Lucky for all of us, they are making another animated film. It's got an absolutely stacked cast but it seems they are changing a lot of things as well, for the worse. Not looking forward to it in the slightest but I would love to be proved wrong.

Aye, I heard that. I'll keep a sceptical eye open for it - is this the BBC/Netflix collaborative thing, or is there another one in the works too?

Just saw this comment 8 months later lol. It's the BBC/Netflix adaptation. It's supposedly four episodes running an hour each, so it's possible they will actually cover the whole book, but some of the bigwigs attached have said it's family oriented so that part has me worried. "Using the latest computer-generated animation techniques" also has me worried.

Also, I would give up one of my testicles to have seen these guys live.

This rules hard. It's a lot to take in and I'm not really sure exactly how I feel about it yet but I do know it rules. m/

I wish you had gone in order The first album is more crust oriented with a hint of post-metal. Second album is post-metal with a hint of crust. This is just post-metal. I love hearing their evolution so much
