I mean you guys seem to agree with the rating so I don't see what's wrong. New album is great.

there's a bit of this album in it too

Alex Bent was the right choice as a drummer, he's killer in it.

Yeah they finally have a drummer who fits in. Almost reminds me of Travis in some parts which is a good thing.

I much preferred the lyrics from Shogun. Lyrics about samurai and mythical beasts are badass.

I guess it's better than the last two records, singles were really good, feel like the record is more like In Waves than anything else

It's much better than the last two, and I still like those a lot. They pretty much amalgamated all their previous albums, but they did a great job. It finishes very strong.

New album is the best since Shogun.

Please keep the drummer. He’s exactly what Trivium need.

Goddamn, the new record still has a 4 with 97 votes. Shocked that it's being received so well on here. I certainly think it's deserving of that praise, but it's surprising nonetheless.

I remember how I was saying when Silence was released "If they found a way to drop the poppy elements and integrate these kinds of melodies and grooves with the thrashy and gritty elements from their past albums they'd really be onto something".

Turns out I was right. :D

Aye, it's a little uncanny how accurate that prediction was. Well done

Can’t see the new one being a 4 or above as the singles sucked.

If it was a 4 based on 5 votes I'd understand your skepticism, but it has over 100... if you like anything this band has ever done, I'd recommend giving it a listen. As far as being inconsistent goes, I'm pretty sure they were experimenting with the last 3 albums and just decided to let it fucking rip on this one. Again, the singles are really poor representations of the album. They're still good imo, but are vastly outdone by basically every other song.

Feel free to skip this one, I dig it but the new one is so much better.
