Yep, that the nice thing about this band in general imo

This album is also really sad. It's basically the story of a failing relationship, where both parties try hard to make it work, but it just doesn't. Pretty emo actually.

So far this is like Hiberno but better in virtually everything

Kind of, yea. This has a stronger emphasis on catchy choruses though and it has a cohesive story, at least kind of. It's stages of a relationship that doesn't work out.

Can't get the story bc ich spreche kein Deutsch, but I def feel the catchy choruses being an improvement

Yea, Datorie was an essential track for me in 2019

This album is a huge accomplishment for them imo

Everything they've done is amazing in their own right. They could change styles effortlessly and made it work better than everybody else.

Then Kollaps happened and they fell back down to Earth. . . . .

what was wrong with kollaps?

Kollaps grew off me a bit too, mainly because of the two heavy tracks Deklaration and Allmende, but I still think you are a bit too harsh towards the album

Solitaer looks great so far, so I am hyped for the future. Palingenesis is such a tune

"what was wrong with kollaps?"

Well, basically the band tried to do simpler and shorter songs and it was hit and miss

I was harsh out of love, because it was astoundingly below their standard in an especially egregious manner. Last thing I wanted to do was dislike that record, but I cannot find anything redeeming about it.

Everything else is a beautiful mish-mash of prog. metal, metalcore, and post-hardcore (to list only a few).

I get that, I guess. Especially the tracks I mentioned were not really memorable imo, the other ones stood the test of time so far imo. The record feels like a band trying very hard to break out of their norm though, it just show.

He does. I would argue Agnosie and Eskapist, but especially Kollaps have way better singing
