I'm confused why I keep jamming this

Well I changed my mind about this slightly...it lost its appeal on third/fourth listens because the second half is nowhere near as gripping as the first. But holy hell can this girl sing...and some of these lyrics are absolute gold. First 5 tracks get nothing but love from me.
Who knows, maybe the rest of the album will grow on me...she's the kind of musician who is just so talented that even the weak songs end up sounding good.

I can see that. The second half has some good tracks like Feather and Make a Shadow but is really different than the first half.

This fires on all cylinders then slows down a bit for sure. Still solid and a lot better than a lot of other artists on the same spectrum as her, especially lyrically. The vocals though, lets not even go there, she's got a beautiful voice.

LOL elcrawfodor... It's the subliminal messages Meg is giving out.
Sowing an make a 3.0 sound like AOTY. Haha. As the 2 subsequent comments - & my review - suggest, this is front-loaded. There's definitely a sense of potential over output with MM right now... Which is an exciting prospect.

Honestly I might prefer the second half

Lemon Eyes and Make a Shadow are my favorites from the second half, but really I'm digging every song on this. Honestly I could see this causing a weird shift in my musical tastes, suddenly I'm jamming this plus Zella Day all the time

I actually prefer Zella Day's LP to this... If only just.

Nah, I prefer the darker side this has, especially moments like the guitar solo in Desire

Parade seems really out of place, but it's one of the better songs on here. Kind of works as a barrier between the darker side of the album, and points it more to the lighter, loving side it seems. First half is better in my opinion. But still a really solid album, with a bit of staying power.

Well said dmp. I agree with much of what you said. I a way, there are many songs that seem out of place... It just depends from which angle you view the album from.

Procrastination is my middle name today - I'm pissed off at myself for how utterly I've failed to do anything all day. Fucking long weekends
how about that RnM finale tho

Yeah I hear you, I was supposed to look into grad schools and write a paper this weekend, none of that happened.
And oh man I forgot about that. How was it? I'll have to watch it tomorrow when I finish up this paper
