the shitty ass guitar work
the shitty ass poopy leads and the shitty ass hair metal riffs
the shitty ass vocals
and the shitty ass lyrics
and the fact that all my shitty ass metalcore bands turn into shittier versions of themselves trying to revive some other shitty ass subgenre of metal

Personally I really like the leads (especially the hair metal influence you noted in tracks like Destroyer), and the guitar work is overall pretty good (if not as varied as previous releases).
The vocals are good with the exception of the bits and pieces of forced Rage Against The Machine worship here and there (Vice Grip sucks)
The lyrics are inconsistent so I'll give you that one.
I didn't really feel they were trying to revive anything here, rather they were just trying to explore their influences.
