oh yeah btw

The first song for instance, ‘And My Father Left Forever’, was written about singer Aaron Stainthrope's father recent death.

this isn't true at all, it was written long before his dad died. the subject matter just made it difficult to record and remains to be a coincidence.

The first few tracks and "I celebrate your skin" (despite the butt-boring drums) seem to capture the best parts of MDB. Was refreshing to have some songs on here remind of earlier albums even if they're not quite as good.

listening to this after draconian is like a godsend gift.

those riffs, that songwriting, theres so much variety and careful handled riffs all over.

certainly in my top 5 this year

yeah they are up there currently with me too

oh and evo, i listened to celebrate your skin on spotify and i noticed the differences. however it does not fit for me, prob because i listened to it so much without those sounds. just sounds tagged on to me you know.

i love those sole drums about 4:10 into the song.

Yeah, there are people who actually felt the same as you. Luckily, I hadn't overplayed the initial version, so I was easily accustomed to the 'proper' mix.
