Lawl. At least they didn't make a ''Slayer's troll patrol'' type of song, like Destruction.
Didn't you rate this with a 1.5, mate?

So... this or Metallicuck's Hardwired to Self-Destruct?
Jamming this rn. So far I'm between a 2.5 and a 3 for this one. ''Take Control'' and ''Vices'' are good tunes.

I remember a friend of mine called this shit ''The Kerry King's Project feat. Araya'' hahaha.
|
| |
I'm used to Metallica putting out shit for 20 years.
So... should the album's title be changed to ''Hardwired... to S U C C''???

Sodom bruh.
Had a bit of fun revisiting this, something I can't say about their previous albums tbh. But yeah probably won't revisit this in a loooong time.
Piano Wire is decent.

Wish this review was true.
''Tom's vox have a weird filter over them like huh" But it isn't because he is like 58, it is because he is experimenting with new sounds, something Slaytanica always did. DI was progressive thrash metal and DIM was nu-thrash metal with punk and hardcore elements. See" Slayer always tries new things.''

how this band never gets criticized for sounding the same is beyond me, i fucking love them but it seems silly when people rage for that exact reason for other bands and promptly go and praise this band

haha that's funny. DI was my first Slayer album, bought in the 7th grade while staying in a small Oklahoma town. the only slayer album i had jammed at that time was RIB and I was looking for either SOH or SITA but the only Slayer CD the small town bookstore had was DI (should've been glad they had any Slayer at all lol), so my grandma bought it for me. It was the only CD I had for about a week and I jammed that think front to back about a million times. loved every goddamn second of it. it was a fucking crazy album, man! so intense! Then I go online and discover most people hate it or find it very "meh" at the absolute kindest.
Later that week i went back to the bookstore and bought Megadeth's greatest hits and Anthrax's Among The Living with money i had made shoveling cow manure for my grandpa. Jammed those 3 CDs back to back to back all over Oklahoma. I'll forever associate wheatfields with thrash metal. good times.

i feel that, i've been diggin around parts of my memories lately too, though i dont have nearly as many as you do lol. sadly a lot of frustrating and depressing stuff has brought up the old times for me. the town i was in Oklahoma had about 500 too. i hate it when people describe a town of 100,000+ as a "small town". I heard some dude talkin shit about Houston (3rd biggest city in the USA) saying "there was nothing to do but drink beer", and that's the 3rd biggest city in the country. imagine that fucker sitting in a town of >500.

you definitely know a lot more than me, you share great words of wisdom. i've always tried to embrace the lows because i think they help us shape who we are as people, but i've never thought of it the way you just described it to me. thanks, man. you're a good guy. hope you know that

That an album is not universally acclaimed doesn't mean that it's bad, take for example one hot minute. I enjoy more the underrated and under-appreciated albums more than commercially succesful albums.
