listening to migrant for the first time now, seems really wintery from the first track

Migrant is great. Just not in the same way as Acts II and III. "The Kiss of Life" has actually grown to be one of my favorite tracks. The chorus has a very radio friendly ballad type of sound but comes with a certain charm and the verses are among some of their best and most thought provoking

hmm I don't think this has any bad songs. I wonder which 2 you find bad?

I think If All Goes Well is the weakest on the album but it's still a relatively good song

For me the only truly lackluster tracks are Wait and Swords (just yet to wrap my head around it really). Every other track has a ton of good qualities its just that some are also missing alot of what made the rest of the Acts stand out so much for me. Rebirth, Old Haunt, Town, and Ouroboros are definitely my main highlights

This album is really great and up there with Act II for the best Act album.

Act II = Act IV > Act III > Act I

for now at least

i like this almost as much as Act II. There's a song or two i'm not into on Act II whereas i liked every track here

i don't see why people think Ouroboros feels out of place. both musically and in the context of the story it feels like a perfect closer to this chapter.

this is my AOTY so far. i'd carry Casey's children.

in other news the first 10 tracks (especially first 8) of this are reaaaally solid and then the whole thing kinda loses cohesion

like the squeaky wheel is so good but it doesn't lead to anything later in the album because then the bitter suites completely switch it up and then the last 5 tracks are fine but they feel really tacked on so...

feel like there needs to be some other big dramatic track after bitter suite VI and then just throw ouroboros on there and be done with it ya know
