tracks 3,4,5,9,10,11, and 14 are all either dull or average compared to anything from acts II and III imo

i want to like 4. for some reason i feel like it just sounds lifeless except for the bridge. hard to explain. and bitter suite 4 and 5 is great after the first 2 minutes but holy shitcakes the beginning is all kinds of cheese even for them

Dude it's soooo good that guitar solo

beginning of Bitter Suite 4/5 is pretty dire agreed but all of Abandon is just perfect

Act III is still the best, this ever so slightly loses to II

Lmao Waves vs. Where the Road Parts, At The End of the Earth vs. Go Get Your Gun or Abandon vs. Blood of the Rose is the most unequal series of pairings (and it was just off the top of my head).

II has bigger highlights but some of the lowest weak points; III is way more consistent and has a better story arc so it gets my pick.

@toon ha. nah, 7 or so tracks are above average and the rest are average with maybe 2 completely dull ones. id say my rating is accurate with my opinion.

@rowan yeah on track 4 the only impressive parts imo are the guitar solo and the bridge. who knows maybe it will grow on me.

so more than half of the album is average to dull for you and the smaller half are all "above average" (hardly a striking compliment) and you rate this "great"

sounds to me like your standards are pretty fuckin low

heres a puzzling revelation. not every single person on this site has the same thought process as you do when rating and enjoying music. you're the one with like 500 5's but thats not my concern just shows how different our standards are but you dont see me bitching to you about it

if you think that a 15 track album with 7 great tracks, 6 good and avg ones, and 2 bad ones equals a low rating then okkk whatever you say lol
