Start with Skyforger IMO . I think the band sound has been changed in the last 10 years ,after Tomi joined (Changed for good) , so I think you can start with the above and then Silent waters , Eclipse Circle . The new album is heavier .

"Yeah it is. I'm sure the ones with the lower ratings would have been better approved if Tomi Joutsen was on them. This guy does so much for the band's sound" They rerecorded Tales From the Thousand Lakes with Tomi so at least you can check this out . I also think Tomi is much much better than the previous vocalist .

^Caught me off guard as I'm not too used to Amorphis, when it started I was grinning ear to ear how cheesy while epic it ended up being.

Just love the high-pitched screams in "The Four Wise Ones", wonder why they don't use them more often.

Finally listening.

For the most part you guys really weren't bullshiting me bout dis. I mean it isn't astounding so far, but it absolute takes a dump on Circle. vox are still eh but i can deal with that when the music overall is really solid

Hey everyones preference is different. His cleans are great imo, just his harsh vox aren't exactly my cup of tea.

Ended up liking this way more than I thought I would

Is this on the same level as Tales From the Thousand Lakes? That's the only Amorphis i've heard and it was pretty good.
