Okay, so going back to the discussion about the band's name (which I find infinitely interesting) that occurred on page 23 of this thread, "Maudlin" is most definitely a name, as well as an adjective. Today I was reading Shakespeare's "All's Well That Ends Well", and there is a brief mention of a character named "Maudlin", who doesn't actually occur in the play, but has been the subject of a bit of scholarly interest. Instead of writing a block of text about the plot, I'm just going to leave a link to an article that talks about Maudlin if anyone is interested in reading it.

The angel of death bumped into Toby Driver at the astral library and tricked him into believing Shakespeare still held copyright over the name Maudlin, so he ditched the capital to make us all think it was the adjective.

But now we know. Good detective work, Get Low. 19 years was a long time for mankind to have been duped by Toby, but what can you do :/
