Whole discog is amazing, but this is without a doubt one of the best modern bm albums.

Yeah, there's nothing really similar to this out there. The closest thing I could even think of is the song, "Ometeotl" by In Lakech Ala Kin from Tliltic Tlapoyauak (which surprise, surprise, is a BTC release.)

Apparently there's a new release coming out tonight on limited cassette at the show in "decade of BTC" show tonight in LA. New track is up and hopefully the rest(?) will stream soon. And if you're in/around LA seriously get on that show. Like five BTC bands playing tonight w/ free merch.

we need a btc equivalent on the east coast

Yeah but BTC was a Native American-heritage thing... east coast closest we have to something involving non-usual heritage is like... people from Maine. Or the Amish. So a new wave of american acoustic black metal? NWAABM!

Btc isn't a Native American heritage thing, it's Hispanic/Aztec. Also, Native Americans were also on the east coast? Who do you think we initially took land from...?

The Aztecs were native americans tho. And I'm not aware of any big Native "scenes" or much activity in the NE areas comparable to the west, tho, thus the joke about Mainers.

Having an arizmenda binge today, just starting out with this and plan on going through the full lengths and split material.

Production is so much less abrasive than their subsequent releases. Vox are lower in the mix too. Really great atmosphere though.
