i figured you'd be partial to this because of its shoegaze leanings, whereas bloom was much more of a pop album without the staple dreaminess beach house brought to the table (although it still is really hazy at times). but to dislike bloom? damn. despite this album's sound sometimes contrasting against some of bloom's songs (particularly the more drawn-out ambient moments), i feel like they're both very similar in many ways. even right off the bat, levitation seems like it could easily fit into bloom's aesthetic. sparks not so much, but it still has that distinct beach house sound.

Only ever heard this and bloom, and prefer bloom as I've already stated. This does have something to it though, I don't know if it's just more subtlety or what. I love the first 3 songs and PPP.
