above the weeping world
oh i forgot to mention intestine baalism although i think their third and final one is the weakest
a few newer DT and insomnium albums i like but dont find remarkable
if quo vadis' defiant imagination counts as melodeath, that too

Intestine Baalism rules.

Hateform is masssivveeelyyyy underrated, and The Crown's Crowned In Terror (with the Tomas Lindberg on vocals) fucking rules.

Finding good modern melodeath is hard yeah. Most bands are just super generic and pretty much copypasts In Flames or Insomnium. It's been ages since I found anything refreshing honestly, which is a shame since it's deep down my favorite genre. And yeah, The Crown's Crowned in Terror and Eternal death are really good.

The Crown's entire discography from Crowned and Terror and earlier are all incredible. Night in Gales - The Last Sunsets, is one of the better modern melodeath albums I've heard if you haven't checked that one out:

I just want more music with this vocal style that actually works. Checked out Hearse and it doesn't feel the same.

The last 2 and a half minutes of Demonic Science is perfection. Might bump my rating for this album. So many great solos.
