I would love this record with the more raw production on Parallax and earlier records

I hope the new album is along the lines of this, coupled with a little bit of something 'new'

as much as I like this album, I think this style should be just a one-time thing for them, I want a Parallax III from them but I know that is very wishful thinking. But if they do an album in this style again, I won't be mad or anything, as long as it's well-composed like this was

Well, considering I 1'd parallax and colors, you should get the idea how I much love these guys

Ah, gotcha. I don't listen to these guys much anymore, but Colors is the one album of theirs I still listen to consistently. Always loved that one honestly

I've gotta defend Periphery - sure, their music is trying to be much more accessible but they still have quite some good songs (bro, Stranger Things or Reptile are fkin great). I can see how one could argue Periphety is like instagram model while BTBAM is this ambitious art photographer but hey, world needs and has space for both

Okay, maybe world doesn't really need instagram models but you get my point lol

Fowo yes mate, agree, instagram models is basically soft core porn, why look at that when you can see the real thing within a few clicks

These guys can do no wrong for me. Mt. Rushmore status for prog metal. Can’t wait for the next one.

Definitely right up there with Opeth and DT as the giants of the genre.

"Parallax II mate"

Can't argue with that. They took a pretty big risk with this album though, and I think that it resulted in their most unique and one of their most memorable albums.

I really disliked this record when it came out and then I suddenly just realised how good it is. Better late than never I s'pose.

Yes! It’s so eclectic. It’s definitely ascended the btbam ranks for me over the years. Love to hear it Sitar.
