I feel that Psycho is the one with the most instrumental depth so that's why it's my favorite so far. I also found that the "Psycho! Let go!" part of the complete chorus has an uplifting effect on me

Damn Ember is really banger after banger, first impressions are definitely positive. However Ben's voice is deep into studio magic a lot of the time, I fear. Also Closer Your Eyes is basically a Korn song (I don't really mind it, just saying)

Psycho is more of a Korn song than Close Your Eyes tbh. If anything Close Your Eyes reminds me of Unknown Soldier.

Having listened to Ember multiple times through I can safely say it's BB at their absolute peak. Which means haters still gon hate but I loved it

Solid 3/5 for Ember for me, Tourniquet is the best, Down has the best bridge. Also the intro to blood and torn in two are so similar it's funny.

Tbh, Ember has the same problems that this album had. It never breaks away from the usual BB formula, which may not be that big of a deal with fans like me, but it's hardly going to change anyone's opinion of the band.

that being said, Tourniquet and Dark of You are two of the best songs they've done in years

You just have to wonder how incredible they’d sound if their full potential was reached. I believe if they went heavier like on tracks like feed the wolf and psycho they’d be at their best. I still want melodic moments, but I want other moments heavier with more aggressive instrumentals and Burnley screams. Ember to me is their most complete sounding album but it’s still not reaching their full potential.
