If you enjoy that check out Malice Mizer's Merveilles (his band before this, masterpiece), this and Rebirth. After that it's optional, big drop in quality in my opinion. His older material is nothing like his later hard rock songs like Jesus.

Been meaning to check this guy out for a loooooong time, he had some rocking songs in 'Dirge of Cerberus Final Fantasy VII' and there's a character in the FFVII Compilation that is modeled after him (Genesis, I think)

For the love of all that is divine, Emu~for my dear~ has one of the most touching vocal melodies I've ever heard from Gackt. The beauteous atmosphere coupled with the brief moment of silence during the middle of that song doesn't hurt, either.



The red in that cover art is very flavorful, I must say.

Because I can't imagine you not liking anything else, I mean the bongos in that rising chorus and Gackt's divine voice at 2:35 are heaven. Mizerable is basically 18 minutes of perfection and Merveilles....well I'll let you get to that ;)

To be fair, the nyaa's were the only bit that raised an eyebrow - the rest of the song is definitely a winner. Picking a highlight from my first few listens is tough. Real tough.

If it was me despite loving every track my winner has got to go to freesia op 1 and 2 together. Not only it's pretty much the perfect transistion between both sides of the album but as it's own piece I think it's the best Gackt has ever written.
