Mh, Mercy is Starlight plus Coldplay put in a blender. Definitely downcycled old material. Revolt is stupid as hell, but it's also stupid fun. I actually like that song :D



While it's easy for me to point out flaws here, it's also a very enjoyable album for some strange reason

Yea ... The Globalist is disappointing. I like Revolt and the title track, even though the latter is basically a vocal cover of a church song, forgot its name ... The composer is Eduard Elgar though

I can take Muse one way or the other, angsty or bombastic, but nothing in between. They definitely lean into their heavier/progressive roots on this. But I also can't shake the feeling of restraint here too.

Go all in or go home.

That being said the first half of this album has some fun moments. Psycho is pretty ridiculous lol.
