"I don't see this tbh. It's accessible, no doubt about that. But nowhere near the above."
youre wrong :]
besides, 'accessibility' is not the definitive quality of edm culture that electronic outside of that market lacks, thats not even a relevant point considering much of electronic music that falls outside of the 'edm' buzzword is a lot more 'accessible' than a lot of 'edm' (which is equal in breadth/vagueness)

I've been into Gosh and Obvs pretty much since this album dropped, but I never bothered to check the rest of the album out, and I was missing out!
The Rest Is Noise might be better than both Gosh tbh, and I would definitely put both on my short list of favorite songs of the decade so far. Great review too, like as much as Jamie has become super Urban Outfitters/Coachella chic, I should've ignored that considering how good the music is.

"this was one of the biggest disappointments of the year in hindsight. he showed a lot of potential with his singles from the years prior but he even convoluted those tracks beyond recognition and then just like whored himself to 'edm culture' which is kind of like not the thing to do if you want to have the respect of anyone who actually knows anything about electronic music"
readin through this thread and think I pretty much agree. Only really 2 great tracks in sleep sound + seesaw as well as gosh to an extent. The rest is quite generic for accessibility's sake and it's disappointing especially considering how much I enjoyed his festival appearances last summer. Definitely got potential to do much better and use his garage/bass influences so evident in his sets and we're new here.

Loud Places is corny as hell, and that rap song is a fuckin joke, but the rest is average to enjoyable. Surprised by how high the average rating is tbh
