Did he include the "squirting like a blunderbuss" part? That's the part that confounds me the most, even though I typed it

prob a reach but my headcannon is that blackgaze can be traced back to the opening riff on VI

VI is perfect. My fave here. I get what you mean, it's so triumphant, certainly has that gaze-y thing going for it.

VI (Passion) is one of the best second wave BM tracks ever.

(EDIT: Haha, did not even know I said the exact same thing here: commented on page 1)

I, IV and VIII are winners too, but tbh the only track i'd happily live with out is VII. zzz

i'm guessing VI/Passion is the one with the major-key riff. yes, so good.

I could live if VII did not exist, but I would not be happy 😥

I know I must have asked this 1,000,000,000,000+ times but WHAT is your top 3 Ulver Johnny?

Good picks hmmm love the Blood Inside love! Such a LOUD and ON album.

Mine currently would be:

1 Wars Of The Roses

2 Themes To William Blake's The Marriage Of Heaven And Hell

3 AGTCLVLELVELLSLLCVPPGRG (or if that one doesn't count Nattens Madrigal, Shadows or Predition)

Pretty different! I have this mega love for two underappreciated ones; but apart from that they have quite the track record of acclaimed albums so this diversity is not at all surprising.
