I've also been listening to some really killer stuff lately so I may be biased. This album was sitting at an honest 3.5 or so for me the last time I heard it.

a lot of metalcore bands anymore just do the staccato riff, high pitched vocals, breakdown thing. they don't write shit like shadow and reconcile.

$25. Not bad at all. Got regular updates on the album, supported a band I've listened to since the Burning Bridges days, received unlimited downloads of the record which I have on FLAC on my computer and a signed copy of the album now. 10/10 would support again.

other than the production and the disjointed vocal performances.

I like Pressure the Hinges but thought Dreamer was lame and while AOTWK was better, it was kind of boring.

I have no problems with the vocals. The production isn't the best but doesn't take away from the album to me.

my problem with the vocals is that they end up causing the whole album to be inconsistent. Not to mention Jimmy Ryan doing melodic songs is gross.

Eh, what you see as inconsistent I see as a nice back and forth change in pace and energy, I like the fact it switches up.
