I personally think it is better than "If Not Now, When?", however as discussed in the review and by a few comments I have seen, that would not take much. "Make Out Party" rips off The Melvins bigger than life. This is a terrible song and really hinders this release. I really cannot stand Absolution Calling because it sounds too much like Muse and Depeche Mode, something that Incubus was not influenced by. Although this is not their worst, it is far from not their best. 2.0/5.0

Incubus hasn't been good since Crow.
This seems like a new low.
They're so bad it's unrecognizable. Because other than same-old same-old, their albums weren't bad. Just stagnated.
But this new one, holy smokes. So shitty sosososossososo shitty.
Maybe it's time to move on, fellas. It was good while it lasted.

" “Dance Like You’re Dumb” could easily slip in between S.C.I.E.N.C.E.’s “Magic Medicine” and “A Certain Shade of Green” and no one would notice."

lol? no.

"Dance" and "Make Out Party" made me want to rip my ears off. "Absolution Calling" was a jam, more like old Incubus; "Trust Fall" same thing though not as good.

The only thing "Dance" had in commoon with S.C.I.E.N.C.E. was the sampled intro, though I highly doubt they'd bring back the turntables.

There is now way this is a new low, its not great or even very good, but I find it an acceptable release at this stage in their career. There are no desperate attempts at radio hits like "love hurts" and "oil and water" and its not as boring as If not now. Even "make out party" who's lyrics are attrocious (Incubus was never a great band for lyrics guys) the musical part of the song although not fresh or amazing is still more enjoyable than most of their last two releases.

I'm just too indifferent towards the existence of new Incubus to bother listening.

I just can't get into any of their post Light Grenades songs, and I only liked those for the hooks, which are pretty lacking here
