Why does this album have a lower average than the others? Asking as someone who has listened to and likes their first two albums but doesn't want to spend any time listening to this if it's not good.

It’s great. Just listen to it once and judge for yourself

I honestly remember nothing about this album except a weirdly high prevalence of songs about using the color blue as a metaphor for feeling sad ("feeling indigoooooo")
I would just skip to Proper Dose, it's a big step forward for them

It’s better, but this still has great tracks. Smile, Heavy Gloom, Solo, Stalemate all fantastic

proper dose sucks, yeah

Nah I agree with most that Proper Dose is better. Songwriting is a little tighter and the production blows this one out of the water. However, I do think the average for this is too low. It’s like a solid 3.7-3.8 in my book. It would be higher if they dropped Distaste

All of which lays a beautiful foundation for Parker Cannon’s rough and tumble voice to rage over. His performance is as impressive as ever and his real talent shines through in his ability to mix a knack for melody with a vicious delivery that’s immediate and grabbing.
sick
