I'd say that a record can be a "landmark" based on flawless execution alone. This is definitely not as revolutionary as some people who never listened to a jazz album claim.

I'd say this is a landmark in that it's a jazz album people care about in 2015 ;]

but ya if it gets people digging deeper then that's never a bad thing

the Coltrane comparisons are a bit much, guy reminds me more of Mulatu Astatke in composition if anything, especially the final third of this
