Overthrow, Doublespeak, and Citadel work well chorus-wise.
The problem with Matriarch is a lot of ideas feel half-baked. The new album feels like a major step up in that respect. There are still some parts that feel clunky, but generally speaking it's a step in the right direction.

They sound pretty meh. Nothing stands out about them. Not memorable at all. The whole Diet Spencer Sotelo range the vocalist has is doing nothing for me. VoM works just fine without cleans anyway, but if you're gonna throw them in there you could at least try to sound a little unique.
