Most guitars sound like a fucing JOKE man, like really fucking dumb and when I hear 'em it instantly pulls me out of the track... I mean. Yea, opinions.
We all got sum.

See fishy I disagree. For example, the guitar at the beginning of Sides is harsh, tense, and heavy, much like the relationship portrayed in the song. I think the production has been thought out really fucking well.

Still, good stuff.

Haven't listened to the album yet but the production was done by Blake Mills, who is one of the best producers (and guitarists) around imo.

This guy is reeeeally hit or meh for me at a poor rate. He's got potential, though. I hope he comes through on the new one.

new record IS better songwriting-wise.

It's also his first album where every song is essential. I can't remember half the songs here tbh

I'm not sure. iirc this record uses far more dissonance and heavy, angry electronic instrumentation. I loved putyour back into it which has a bit more of an epic, washed out sound, which seems reborn and polished on the new record.

Damn y'all have me hype to check this album out.

I agree with Lucid, it's his first where every song feels essential, which was the biggest flaw with this one

Listening to this again made me realize how much No Shape really failed to interesting be upon all 4 of my listens of it :/
I hope that if there's an album after No Shape, that it takes more risks like this did
