Lowlight is Pro Lov Ad by a considerable distance; everything else earns its keep. Sept's groove occupies a v distinct and quite understated place in this tracklist for me, but took a while to click with - would probs put it on par with Velocity at this point hm

I’m not huge on Velocity either tbh, nor the closer so much. Dancers should have been the closer even though I kiiiiiinda get the reprise appeal
A weak 4.5 but feels stronger than a 4, especially its best moments

Velocity is p perfect - think the willingness to ditch rigid songwriting frameworks and delve headlong into to them kaleidoscopic dream soundscapes on that/Sept/International is a key part of this thing's appeal. can feel the residue from Halica there
Dancers is too delicate/spindly/~~ethereal to be a closer (although it is the better song) - final few minutes of the actual closer see this off with a much clearer centre of gravity and i think both songs benefit from it
