Wavering Radiant time which I predict will either be #1 or #2 for me these days and then Mosquito Control and Red Sea will be second last and last

hahah mate I dont get COL at all they bore the absolute pants off me 'SATH' if fantastic. Took me a while for that to hit home but saw them do it live and was hooked from then.

The first 2 I like for old times sake and nostalgia but may as well be a different band and rarely listen to them. Fire away on that front man.

Oh I thought you loved them but now I realize that’s probably just relinquished that this will piss off:

Eternal Kingdom is their best album and everything since had been mid af

Okay so yeah Wavering Radiant > Oceanic >>>>>> ItAoT > Celestial >>>>>>>>>> Panopticon

Might still jam mosquito control tomorrow but kinda don’t want to jam Red Sea, it’s really never resonated for me

Woah you like this better than wavering radiant? I would have figured that album would address your criticisms of this (a lot more heavy stuff)

Also every single isis album I’ve listened to today was followed up by a red sparowes auto play and my god does that contrast make the latter sound fucking bleak 😂

Like really, even the worst ISIS song blows 90% of every other post metal bands output out of the water

TBH you could switch either last place for me they both don't do much for me but funny enough WR does the absolute least. Like Musically its probably their best ,writing wise but when its Post metal or whatevs I need that kick, I need the highs to be high. Even though its a far cry from like Panopticon and Oceanic obvs. Only last year I got 'Threshold of Transformation' forced on me and realised it was dope otherwise I dgaf about that whole album

I really don’t get the WR hate. Casheed and Harris took it next level, and Meyer finally coming to his senses and playing the organ more was just the cherry on top.

More heavy bands need to do the organ. I’m thought it would have a moment when WR dropped but it kind of petered out :/

WR is the perfect amalgamation of everything they’ve done in their career imo, could not ask for a better career closer

I dont hate it, I respect them for evolving too cos they gave me so much great music and honestlyI wouldnt have liked another 3/4 Panopticons. I nearly said Oceanics but thats probably a lie. But yeah, can talk about the keys, production , song writing all that jazz but end of the day I don't feel it. And thats what it comes down to. ESPECIALLY with a band and genre thats super emotive (?)

Yeah Id actually agree with that despite not loving it
