Maynard was like 42 on 10000 Days, 55 on Fear Inoculum. Surprise surprise! But who cares! Let's hope on their next album by the time he's 67 he'll manage to reach higher notes... also, he should start growling and shrieking, it's never too late. Fingers crossed!

The build up to the climax in Descending was so disappointing on the album compared to the live versions I had been hearing. When it finally gets to the gong smash I'm always left underwhelmed by the impact of it.
