Nice pick. It can't beat out Benighted or Windowpane for me, which seem like 'basic bitch' picks now you dropped that unexpected bomb Trif.

Windowpane is tough competition agreed, so is Benighted. And most of Heritage. Some other moments here and there. A Fair Judgement (does that one count?). Eternal Rains. River. So many lovely ones.

Not meaning the protesting swans but Pon's forgiving nature here, just to clarify.

Who'd have thought that a creature dubbed 'the Queen's bird' would think so highly of themselves, but alas they do. They're collectively scoffing at being compared to the lowly common goose. Riff raff.

Yeah perhaps we could have seen that coming. Alas.
That reminds me: It's still illegal to eat swan in England right? Or is this a myth? On the other hand, I've never heard of people eating swans in other countries...

I donβt disagree with JOTW tbh
Sometimes I get excited to jam this and am absolutely buzzing all the way through Ghost of Perdition but then I fall out of interest for much of the rest of the album

yes Trif, it's an offence to purposefully cause harm to a swan at all. Definitely can't eat them.

"The Snow Goose is my fav Cleanpeth"
For whatever reason, I was never really able to get into Camel. Not sure why, as I'm a huge fan of classic prog (obviously), but they just never appealed to me as much as a lot of the other greats from that period. Kinda funny since I'm such a big fan of most of the artists they influenced (Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Marillion, Rick Astley, etc.)

well, the link seems a bit broken and can't read the article, but I found a video of an interview in 2016 of him talking about new releases he likes, and he mentions Opeth's Sorceress
