haha...yeah. it and Eugene were the biggest contributors to me eventually knocking my rating down to a 4.5. they're perfectly good suf tracks, just don't like them in context with the rest of the album

I said the same thing about those two and maybe a third a while ago, and like 10 users in a row all commented that Eugene is actually amazing and like their favorite on here.

Eugene is a really good song but I didn’t know there were a lot of people who loved it that much.

I don't vibe with blue bucket of gold that seems to get people going too.

my first few dozen spins after it released i found myself skipping Eugene more often than not. it's an important song in light of the narrative, just does very little for me musically. swap it out for Wallowa Lake Monster and we're in business

I love Sufjan and I love Angelo, and if one of the comments there is true (that he's returning to a folk style) then I'll be ecstatic. The ambient soundtrack stuff he's been doing has been mind numbingly boring. I don't have a problem with his electronic stuff though per se, because I really liked The Ascension.

Eugene has always been my favorite from here so it surprises me to see someone say they skip it more often than not. My girlfriend says he sings with a child's voice and I wonder if she's onto something.
