No it isn't but the production and melodies are executed a bit(EDIT: I mean a lot) better with DRS than they are with this

Great album. There's a lot of delicate, nicely-tuned textures here which complement the instrumentation rather than ruin it, and the guitar work's experimentation on songs like the title track and closer 'Spirit at Aphelion' is well implemented. The thing which drags the quality down for me a bit is the vocal work, which for the most part I found underwhelming. There isn't that much vocal input, and the majority of the album is down to instrumental progress, but when the vocals are there, they just don't add anything special or memorable to make me warrant a higher rating. Nonetheless, the album is fluent and consistent, if a little too long at times.

absolutely adore when bands can be dynamic as hell but also super riffy. this is so sick
i saw stoner rock and expected a more sleep/torche type of thing but i like this a lot more than both of them. never really gotten super deep into this type of music but who else should i listen to?
