That's a 3.15 average, and treating Academy's troll 5 as an outlier the average drops to 2.944 with only 2 ratings above 3.0.
Almost all new releases peak early with fanboys and those more interested inflating the ratings which will eventually drop and flat line in a few weeks/months. Sure, the current rating of a 3.7 isn't too bad but many other factors point to this being a below par effort from the band.

Selection bias is a pretty common mistake in predictions. Look at sports, everyone thinks their teams the best in any given season and being a fan of someone definitely clouds your judgement in some regards, especially when it comes to success. That's why in politics independent voters are a big focus in polling because Democrats and Republicans tend to be very lenient towards their party and offer distorted projections. It wasn't meant as a slant against you, but if you listen to more Modest Mouse then the average Sputnik user, and in your case it's your most listened to band by hundreds of plays and even thousands of plays above bands in your top 10, your opinions will most likely differ as well.
