tracks 2,5,6,10 are the best with Donny and 1% being some of the best material the band has done but the other tracks wear thin pretty quickly.

maybe it's time to give this one a go. I loved their first three but played Memory and Humanity once in college, felt a bit disappointed, and then never listened again, and I definitely haven't heard a second of Welcome Home Armageddon, Conduit, or this.

ilu guys, I'm in IT so working from home, and planning on blasting through my monthly financial reporting duties for the next 3 days while hitting the bong and listening to loud music, I'm stoked to soak in all this yet-unheard FFaF!
Things I have left untouched and forever savored in their freshness:
-The last two seasons of Seinfeld, minus the last episode
-3 FFaF albums
-The Wire
holy crap I'm getting deja-vu hearing Memory & Humanity effectively for the first time.
I hate listening to new music knowing the artist has called it quits, and that this will be the last time hearing "new" music from them. It's bittersweet. The last time I felt this down about listening to an artist's final output was when Anberlin announced they were calling it quits and released Lowborn.
I LOVED these guys in college and listened to nothing but them and Say Anything for like 6 months haha. A few tracks in and I'm really digging it already.
schoonda - ty, opened and then paused because I figured I'd just start these 3 albums chronologically and hear them that way. I look forward to this track though.

no worries man! Welcome home armageddon is probably the best of the three, returns to roots a bit, where conduit has a few good cuts in each record - i can see why they called it a day.

Memory and Humanity: Ok, ok. Sounds like FFaF. It blew by while I was working but I liked some of the hooks and hit Favorite on a few I'll revisit later.
Starting Welcome Home Armageddon now: EXCUSE ME, FRONT ROW SEATS? I didn't think they made anything that aggressive since I listened! Very cool. Like this record so far. I'll have to update this as I get time to finish off the records. This is formulaic FFaF and that's 100% what I'm seeking at 30 years old lmao. Hook the nostalgia to my veins.
Aftertaste! Spinning Over the Island! Wow, these are prime FFaF. Love it. Cool record.
Conduit is very short & sweet. I guess they just brought back more aggression completely! I like it. Some cool guitars but a bit less memorable than Welcome Home Armageddon.
Gonna polish off Chapter & Verse tomorrow I think. This is better run of albums than I expected!

Curious to know what Nomos2 thought of this record - I normally flip flop between whether or not I prefer this to Conduit (more often than not C&V comes out on top)

A 2.9 average?!?!?! What!?!?!?!

Kinda forgot about anything past Hours, as the first 2 albums are fucking classics from that Era. This album surprised me. Didn't expect it to be so heavy. The vocals are different. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing to be honest.

It can grow on you probably

update: I died and didn't get to listen to Chapter & Verse RIP
I actually just remembered about these guys again and came back here and forgot that I was still catching up. I lied. I think I did hear Chapter & Verse but that was now over a year ago and I probably wasn't paying attention, so round 2 here we go.
It's not bad! Fairly aggressive and frantic, it's just floating by inoffensively without anything sticking out.

reckon this slightly edges conduit. Some absolutely fantastic tracks here (Donny!!!) amongst some very dull material

kinda pointless to do this after jammin everything for the first time since all of my deeper music enjoyment is contingent on how things stick to me over repeated jams overtime, but initial ranking lookin like:
casually dressed > conduit > memory and humanity > this > welcome home armageddon > tales > hours
